Well Movember is fast approaching and few months back I had this idea. What if I auctioned off my Avi to the highest bidder? Now this all started from a Twitter conversation between myself, my work partner @jods10503 and @ifyouseekkatie. You see they were daring me to change my avi to a photoshoped image the two of them had created. I never did change my avi for them but it did get me thinking. If people would be that anxious and excited for me to change my avi to something silly they created for a laugh then maybe I can harness this for a bigger cause.

FYI: an “AVI”, or avitar is the nickname given to the profile pic on a Social Media (SM) site.So I will auction my avi to a pic chosen by the highest donor to my Movember site. I will keep this picture up for the duration of one week twice during the Movember period.   The highest donation (an added acumulation of a single donor) from the week starting 01/11/12 07:00 and ending 10/11/12 00:00 will be chosen as the winner for that week. That winner will then be eligible to send me a pic of their choice and I will use it as my avi on Twitter and Facebook for the period of 11/11/12 until 17/11/12.   during the period of 11/11/12 07:00 to 17/11/12 00:00 I will also be selecting the highest donor who will then be able to submit a pic that I will use as my avi for the period of 18/1/12 to 24/11/12.

I really shouldn’t have to write this part but I will anyways so there is no confusion :).  I try to remain professional on my social media sites as well I have my family and friends as follower/friends.  I will have ultimate discretion over the pic that is selected and if i do not approve of the pic that is given to me I will let you know and ask for another.  If another suitable pic cannot be chosen I will move to the second highest donor for a pic and so on.  As a guideline I will not chose a picture that is degrading in any way to any culture, religion, or sexual orientation.  I will not chose anything that has any nudity or course language.  I will not post anything that can be construed as illegal either.
